Sustainably Made
CAPSULE COLLECTION
Sustainable fashion is part of the growing trend of the sustainability movement. Processes consider the ethical and environmental impact on the planet and human beings from creating and manufacturing products. This organic street wear collection integrates fashion between men and women to visually communicate the powerful act of uniting through sustainability.

Design Process.
I was inspired to integrate men and women into one collection to visually unite the idea that no matter our differences, we can work together to better the world we inhabit through sustainability. In this co-ed collection I have used all 100% organic natural textiles, recycled leather, and natural dyes. This collection is lowering our carbon footprint in movement to improve the environment around us.

Trend & Sustainability Research.
It all began when I researched “fashion pollution”. The jaw-dropping information I found consumed me. The fashion industry is one of the leading causes of global pollution. The production and distribution of the crops, fibers, and garments used in fashion all contribute to environmental waste, including water, air, and soil pollution.
As a fashion designer, I took it upon myself to explore safer options to conserve the environment, such as: natural dyes, organic fabrics made of natural fibers, and recycled materials from local businesses. On the left of the collage I created below, expresses the dangers and damages of fashion pollution, and on the right shows ways to conserve.

The inspiration images provided below includes a variety of co-ed fashion visuals to better represent the power of integration. I decided to incorporate a minimal color scheme of grays and tans, with a pop of burnt orange. These colors are intended to symbolize different elements of the earth such as rain, dirt and the sun, to embrace the message of sustainability.
