Inspired by an original textile created by Rachel Jobe, this fun and artful chair was designed to fit into just about any location. From a modern rooftop lounge in the city, to the backyard or living room in your own home, this chair allows you to sit back and enjoy what life has to offer. This chair carries an aesthetic that combines the modernity of today, with a slight retro feel of the midcentury. From comfort to style, this uniquely-designed chair is the essence of high-end living.

Design Process.
This chair is designed with a back that casually wraps around its wide, oval-shaped base, with the intention to loosely cradle you, and provide the ability to shift from side to side after long periods of sitting.
To incorporate this unique fabric, I have designed a method in which the fabric is upholstered in strips. This way, a proper slotting technique can still be applied while also maintaining the original pattern of the textile. With six slotted panels, only the top three panels are upholstered in an effort to create a balance between bold and simplicity.
